Obesity is a complex issue caused by various factors, including genetic predisposition, hormonal imbalances, chronic inflammation, gut microbiota, and environmental influences.
To address this, we have devised new strategies and researched various herbs known to regulate essential physiological processes in humans.

Gynostemma Pentaphyllum (돌외) is an adaptogenic herb that has been used in Korea, Japan, and China for over 500 years. Also known as the 'herb of immortality,' it is well-renowned for its role in promoting longevity and health.

In vitro Test (liver and muscle cells)

According to in vitro study results, **Actiponin®** activates AMPK, leading to an increase in CPT1 and a decrease in PPARγ, SREBP1c, and C/EBPα.

Increase in CPT1 levels: Promotes β-oxidation or fat burning.

Reduction of adipogenic transcription factors: PPARγ, SREBP1c, and C/EBPα decrease adipogenesis or lipogenesis.
As a result, this contributes to the reduction of body fat.

In Vivo Test (ob/ob mice, C57BL/6)

Weight loss through Actiponin® has been confirmed in an obese animal model.
It has been confirmed that the phosphorylation of AMPK and ACC is increased by Actiponin®.

The phosphorylation levels of AMPK and ACC in the soleus muscle (60 mg protein) and liver tissues (80 mg protein) were examined using western blot analysis.
