My name is Taerin Heo, CEO of TG Biotech.

Since our establishment in 2000, TG Biotech has grown into a leading company in the research and development of health functional foods and pharmaceuticals based on natural products.

Over the past 35 years, I have been dedicated to the study of biological metabolism and signal transduction pathways. This journey led to the world’s first discovery of an obesity-related gene, as well as the identification of innovative molecular targets that have enabled the development of scientifically validated health solutions.

In 2009, this research culminated in the creation of Actiponin®, a functional ingredient that supports obesity management. Building on this success, we are now focused on developing new ingredients and products aimed at regulating age-related metabolic disorders.
